The O2 XDA Guide

The O2 XDA Guide
Being one of the latest PDA style smartphones, O2 XDA Guide has entered the mobile phone arena with superb functionality. The phone offers a unique style and encompasses a wide variety of features that make it a useful tool to own. Central to its capabilities is the fact that it uses the Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor and Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system. These two elements are excellent elements which offer a stable environment.

A 3.15 Mega pixel camera is integrated within the phone and operates at 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera takes effective snapshots and coupled with the large display screen ensures images can not only be taken but also viewed in excellent colour and clarity. The popular feature of geo tagging is provided which offers the ability to tag images to a location. The camera also provides the ability to take video footage and playback, which is a useful bedfellow.

A 2.8 inch TFT resistive touch screen is the main element of the front face of the phone with the ability to display 65,000 colours with a pixel size of 240 x 320 pixels. The screen is large and colourful and is the main focal point for many of its navigation and function access capabilities. The phone uses the innovative TouchFLO finger swipe navigation which is simple and effective to use and allows for simple navigation around the features. For those requiring a different method of navigation a 5 way navigation button is also available. Handwriting recognition is another feature contained within the phones abilities and is a useful addition.

The HSDPA and Wi-Fi provide the ability to access the internet, either through its own connection or the widely available access points know as hot spots.

Additional connectivity is provided with the GPRS, EDGE, Blue tooth and a miniUSB connection. This ensures the full compliment of connections is available and ensures that the user can access numerous services and perform numerous tasks whilst out and about. Satellite navigation is included with GPS with A-GPS support and TomTom NAVIGATOR 7 software included within the package.

The O2 XDA Guide offers many features and some such as the MP3 player and Pocket versions of Microsoft office are testimony to the fact that the phone is trying to offer something for everyone. It succeeds in this aim. It looks great and works like a charm, its functions are responsive and seamless to use and the features are all useful. For a competent phone with unrivalled functionality this handset is hard to beat.
